Who cares about Smitherman anyway?

I mean, really folks... what's with all the hubbub around Smitherman? He was a wackjob the last time around, and we haven't seen him change much, so what does it matter if he's the prez of the NAACP or not? Let him stay on as prez for all I care - he'll never get elected again to Council again (I can't believe we're THAT stupid).
